School

I'm at school right now doing my SAS. I am never teaching secondary school level. It's ridiculous.

LAD, SAS and the end of the world

Here I am, yet again in front of a computer. One tab on blogger.com, one on Facebook, and the third on my language acquisition device portfolio. The portfolio must be handed in tomorrow by 4pm. If this does not happen the universe will collapse and everyone will die. So it is rather important that I finish it tonight.

Why tonight? Why not do it tomorrow daytime?

Because I am currently doing my SAS at a Catholic school in the cess pit region of the UK. This involves tutoring year 11 pupils and helping them on their Thomas Hardy coursework (I've never read a Hardy book before), having one to one sessions with a year 7 who can not identify letters, sitting on chewing gum (the icing on the cake for today) and helping Polish students on their irregular verbs. The latter is actually very rewarding and very enjoyable. They actually want to learn, unlike numerous other pupils who prefer to put their make up on in class, apply hairspray, rock on their chairs, talk when the teacher is talking, swear, shout out, bully each other, bully the teachers, discuss football constantly and so on and so forth. Yay the Polish pupils!

Alas, I must get back to this dreaded portfolio. Well, I don't want the end of the world just yet. I have Disney in 26 days.

xXx

Chomsky or Post Grad?

Just sitting at a rather lovely computer considering my post grad options. I could sit and ponder the wonders of the MA and so forth, or I could write my language disorder and Chomsky portfolio, of which without it, I would be unable to get into a fairly decent institution...

Meh.
