School

I'm at school right now doing my SAS. I am never teaching secondary school level. It's ridiculous.

LAD, SAS and the end of the world

Here I am, yet again in front of a computer. One tab on blogger.com, one on Facebook, and the third on my language acquisition device portfolio. The portfolio must be handed in tomorrow by 4pm. If this does not happen the universe will collapse and everyone will die. So it is rather important that I finish it tonight.

Why tonight? Why not do it tomorrow daytime?

Because I am currently doing my SAS at a Catholic school in the cess pit region of the UK. This involves tutoring year 11 pupils and helping them on their Thomas Hardy coursework (I've never read a Hardy book before), having one to one sessions with a year 7 who can not identify letters, sitting on chewing gum (the icing on the cake for today) and helping Polish students on their irregular verbs. The latter is actually very rewarding and very enjoyable. They actually want to learn, unlike numerous other pupils who prefer to put their make up on in class, apply hairspray, rock on their chairs, talk when the teacher is talking, swear, shout out, bully each other, bully the teachers, discuss football constantly and so on and so forth. Yay the Polish pupils!

Alas, I must get back to this dreaded portfolio. Well, I don't want the end of the world just yet. I have Disney in 26 days.

Chomsky or Post Grad?

Just sitting at a rather lovely computer considering my post grad options. I could sit and ponder the wonders of the MA and so forth, or I could write my language disorder and Chomsky portfolio, of which without it, I would be unable to get into a fairly decent institution...

Meh.

Visa Appointment

Yes, I am on my jolly way to Florida this summer to work at the ever so lovely Disney World. Three whole months of glorious Floridian sunshine. Ahhh. But wait. Should I go? After all Disney employs Mexicans. Do I want to die? Argh! May be I will hide behind a mask and if a Mexican comes up to me I will spray them with perfume... I believe Mexicans may smell - more research is needed.
So tomorrow, I shall take that first step towards Swine flu and go to London for my visa appointment at teh US Embassy. I've heard that I'll have to wait around for 4-5 hours with no mobile phone, and I think you would have noticed from blog numero uno, that I do love my forms of communication. Alas, tomorrow I shall be cowering in a shadowed corner in the Embassy crying over my loss.
Should be most amazing! Lets see if they'll let me work in the Frasier producing U S of A.
P.S. I love Niles

No facebook comments

Maybe I should write an essay? Hmm...

First blog

Should I write something amusing? Something intellectual? I think not. Just thoughts of my new form of communication. After using Bebo, Friends Reunited, MySpace, MSN, Skype and the ever so lovely and brainwashing Facebook, I now find myself sitting writing a blog that no one, except may be a hermit would read, let alone find interesting.

Is my life really this boring? Seemingly so.

But really, what am I supposed to write? I have no applications to join, no 'friends' to 'poke', no scrabble games. I feel lost. Alone. It's like death. The internet was the information highway (I hate that term). However, now it is a mere form of cheap simulated communication. No feelings, no emotions, no weirdness, no problem. And here I am contributing to it. Huzzah - go me!

I shall leave you now my dear readers, and continue to check my Facebook to see if anyone has commented on my '5 fave actors'. Sadly, I doubt it.
